PODCAST. As practitioners we’re good at telling folks what to eat but do we teach them how to eat mindfully? When was the last time you stopped, focused on and truly enjoyed a piece of your favorite chocolate? Mindful eating focuses more on how we engage in eating (the pace, appreciation of food, personal responses to hunger). It centers on the concept of mindfulness or being present in the moment and aware of each component involved in the eating process: smell, sight, taste, mouth feel, etc.
